History of Whasapp: WhatsApp was founded by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, former employees of Yahoo!.
In January 2009, after purchasing an iPhone and realizing the potential of the app industry on the App Store, Koum and Acton began visiting Koum’s friend Alex Fishman in West San Jose to discuss a new type of messaging app that would show “statuses next to individual names of the people”.
They realized that to take the idea further, they would need an iPhone developer. Fishman visited RentACoder.com, found Russian developer Igor Solomennikov, and introduced him to Koum.
In April 2011, Sequoia Capital invested about $8 million for more than 15% of the company, after months of negotiation by Sequoia partner Jim Goetz.
In a December 2013 blog post, WhatsApp claimed that 400 million active users used the service each month.
On February 19, 2014, just one year after a venture capital financing round at a $1.5 billion valuation, Facebook, Inc. announced it was acquiring WhatsApp for US$19 billion, its largest acquisition to date.
This is not the first time and won’t be the last last WhatsApp is denying users the right to use their services.
WhatsApp has been acquired by Facebook but no matter how small a phone is and the version you can still use it.
So how can you keep up with the new trends of WhatsApp, maybe you will be changing phones annually or updating your phone if your phone can be updated.
If your android is still on version less than 4.1 and no way to upgrade it, if your iPhone is still running on iOS less that 10 then by Nov 1 2021, you will be out of WhatsApp social media.
There is hope for android user as developers can look for away to patch some updates to the phones they’re using, but iPhone user, I don’t see any good news on the pipeline. Some android phones can get unofficial rom upgrades but I wonder if jailbreaking can fix iOS.

How WhatsApp will stop these phones from using their services.
Android and iPhone software is being controlled by different versions. Developers create mobile apps that can only works on certain or range of versions. There will be an update where the lower version will be discarded. If you are using any of the phone and want to install whatsapp it will give “parseing error”.
